What Does a Shelf Packer Do at Pick n Pay?
Shelf Replenishment: Unpack stock from the storeroom and pack shelves accurately according to planograms and store layouts. Rotate stock correctly (FIFO — first in, first out) to minimise wastage and ensure freshness.
Stock Management: Conduct regular stock counts, identify low or out-of-stock items, and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors. Monitor expiry dates and remove or flag expired or damaged products promptly.
Store Presentation: Maintain neat, fully faced shelves at all times. Ensure product labels and price tags are visible, correctly placed, and up to date. Keep aisles clean, clear, and safe for customers and colleagues.
