What Does a General Worker Do at Pick n Pay?
General Store Support: Assist across all areas of store operations as directed by supervisors — including the shop floor, storeroom, bakery, deli, produce, and receiving areas. General Workers are flexible team players who go where they are needed most.
Stock Handling & Offloading: Assist with the offloading of delivery trucks, moving stock from the loading bay to the storeroom, and distributing products to the correct departments. Ensure stock is handled carefully to avoid damage.
Cleaning & Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness across all store areas including the shop floor, storeroom, loading bay, and staff areas. Sweep, mop, remove waste, and ensure a safe and hygienic environment throughout each shift.
