What Does a Stock Controller Assistant Do?
Stock Management: Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory records in retail systems, track stock movements (sales, returns, damages, transfers), and identify discrepancies.
System Operations: Use retail management systems to process stock, generate reports, monitor stock levels, flag low stock for reordering, and maintain data integrity.
Loss Prevention: Work with Security to minimize shrinkage, investigate stock variances, identify theft or damage patterns, and implement controls.
Replenishment Support: Monitor stock levels, alert management to reorder points, coordinate with General Workers on stock replenishment, and ensure adequate stock for Sales Assistants.
Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports, analyze stock movement patterns, identify slow-moving stock, and support management decision-making.
