What Does a Security Guard Do at Mr Price?
Loss Prevention: Monitor customers and staff for suspicious behavior, prevent shoplifting and internal theft, conduct bag checks, apprehend suspects following legal procedures, and protect store assets.
Access Control: Monitor store entrances and exits, verify staff entry through back doors, control stockroom access, ensure only authorized persons enter restricted areas, and maintain security log books.
Incident Response: Respond to alarms and security incidents, coordinate with SAPS when arrests made, handle violent or aggressive situations, provide first aid when necessary, and ensure safety of Sales Assistants, Cashiers, and customers.
Surveillance: Monitor CCTV cameras (where installed), patrol store floor and stockroom, identify vulnerable areas, observe fitting rooms, and report security concerns to management.
